Scoot Interview

This would be quite a long post i guess, as i'm going to write about my experience of the scoot interview

I think is kind of surprising that i have the courage to go for airline interview as i'm lack of confidence when doing public speaking

The night before this interview i was awake till 3plus as my whole brain was thinking about the interview-.-

Okay.

I shall not be naggy now. hehehe.

I was assigned to the first interview slot which was at 8.30am, I reached slightly earlier but did not went up to talk to anyone of them, cos that time i'm still quite shy

Hahaha

Stage 1
So the first stage of interview were the vocal, numerical and abstract test

A total of 3 sets of papers were given to us separately

We were given 10mins to do each paper. And there were a total of 16 questions or more? I don't really remember exactly

After we finished the tests, the HR group will collect all the papers and started to mark on the spot. They were marking outside the room, while we were damn anxious waiting inside-.-

Results was read out by one of the staffs, from ascending numbers. Those numbers that were called out were eliminated in the first round. I heard from my scoot friends that there were a total of 30plus interviewees eliminated in stage 1. I swear my pulse rate could easily hit 120/130 per min when the staff was reading out the numbers. My given number was A62, when the staff called A61 and i really thought the next one would be me, but my number was skipped and jumped to A70+(example). Though i passed stage 1, i could not sit down peacefully as we were to proceed to stage 2 right away.

Stage 2
We were guided to another room and were separated into groups of 10. I'm in Group 2 for this round. The interviewer then gave us 2 River Crossing game and we were to divide ourselves into 2 groups in the group of 10. The main objective of this problem solving game was not to get the exact answer and solution but to test on team work, analytic skills, and the way you present yourselves. During this round, there was a tall girl grouped with me and she was very friendly(or i should say she's too aggressive) and kept making the first step to do the introduction. She was trying to break the ice in between us but i think she overly done it. Almost everyone did not have the chance to make the first move, as she was trying to make herself the Team Leader in the group. While we were discussing, the interviewers were walking around us to mark down comments. Next, we were reshuffled into another group again and i met another very aggressive girl in my group. This time round we were given a problem whereby an aircraft was crashed in the middle of mid air and it landed in an isolated forest. There were a few survivors and they were to choose the 7 most important items out of the 15 items to get themselves rescued. This aggressive Malay girl, she was the first to mention Blankets as she said it would be really very cold in the night which most of us agreed. However, there's someone in the group which think Blanket is rather not as important, and that aggressive girl said in a serious mode "do you know the people would die from Hypothermia if they do not have any covers in the night?" Therefore, the girl who opposed the girl agreed as well, No Choice. Actually i could see that the girl have quite some knowledge in her but the way she spoke was rather harsh. She was trying to pull everyone to comes in an agreement with her. If you were not loud enough or daring enough, i don't think you can intercept her while she's talking. So i'm the one:( I waited everyone kept quiet and i tried to speak a few sentences to make the interviewers hear me. Because we must say something no matter what! Is how you fought your way to get a chance to present yourselves. Alright, stage 2 ended and the interviewers went outside the room to for their discussion as well. The 10 minutes before announcing the results were rather crucial as we can break the ice. The results were out, again my heart beats super super fast! i swear super fast! All of us were quieted and when the staff said those that i read out the numbers have to leave and i saw the Aggressive Malay girl stood up. She said "ya, is me. Good luck to the rest" Initially, i don't know why she was eliminated, but again my friend told me is because they don't like too aggressive people. So the tip is not to be too aggressive even when making friends. As when i turned around, i did not see that girl so i think she was also eliminated due to aggressiveness. Anyway, I was shocked that i survived again(:

Stage 3 
We were again divided into groups for individual presentation. For this round i guess it depends on the interviewer who was assigned to the group. Each of us was to get one envelope from the big envelope. The presentation started from clockwise. I was seated at the forth seat therefore i'm the forth person to present. The first person opened up the envelope she took and was given 2 mins to think and 2 mins to present. So when the first person started presenting, the second person will start to think for 2mins, this goes on and so fore. The word i got was "Shanghai" and i was like WTH!! Shanghai? what can i talk about? Immediately the only thing that comes to my mind was i went shanghai with my family when i was younger, and i talked about their culture such as they did not close the door while using toilet, bla bla bla. This was to test how you can continue a conversation with the guest. It wasn't much about how good is your English and how touching your story is. It was about the non stop nonsense that you could think of. hahaha. I not sure about other interviewers, but at least for our interviewer, she was looking at the ability to entertain the crowds without being bored. So i purposely did some stupid actions to make the crowd laugh and i think i'm kind of capable for that? hahahahaah. For this stage, our group all cleared and we were damn thankful to the interviewer(:

Stage 4/Last Stage
If you are able to come to this far, the interviewer most probably wants you! This is what i heard from them also. hahahaha. I not too sure as well. Anyway, the last stage was One to One Interview. We were guided to a quarantine room/ holding room(whatever, is just a room) and there were a few snacks for us to fill our stomach as the time was roughly 12.30pm(LUNCH TIME!!!!). All of us were damn hungry but very few people go get the snacks as we were too nervous to eat by then? hahahaha. Each of us was called by number and the interviewee will have to walk to a room where it was divided into half for their interview. All numbers were called respectively expect for mine!!! :(
I told the left rest of the interviewees that I got a feeling i'm the last person to be called. Guess What!!??? True enough i'm the last person:(
It wasn't nice to be the last person as everyone had already gone through except for you. Anyway, my interviewer was an ANG MO, omg, I'm most afraid of Ang Mo interviewers as their accent might be quite hard to catch. There were a total of 6 questions. Example " Have you ever done a customer service job? Give an example of that." Bla Bla Bla. So without much thinking, I just have to answered yes and bla bla bla. Actually is like O level English oral. Ya. That's about it.

To know if you have clear the last stage it depends on the email. If you received an Apollo Profile email meaning you are MOST LIKING shortlisted for the position. If you did not receive meaning you failed. So you just have to go home and wait for the email, do the test and wait for HR to call you for contract briefing.
This should be the very very last stage i guess? So right now, i'm waiting for the HR to call me.

Omg. I think this was the longest post i ever wrote? I took like 1.5 hours writing this!!! As i still need to recap the process.
